Commemoratives Commemorative stamps may depict innumerable subjects, from animals, antiques, cultural subjects, fossils, historic national and politcal events, the world of entertainment, paintings, plants, religious subjects, science, sculptures, sports, the weather, collectibles, yes, and even stamp collecting -- and / or the famous people connected with them. They provide an easily understandable learning experience concerning the most important topics in civilization at the time of issue, come in all sizes, shapes and colors, fit easily into specialized stamp books / binders, and are easy to maintain -- stamp clubs may be found just about everywhere, and your duplicates may be swapped for things you do not yet have -- yard and estate sales, flea markets, and special stamp auctions are great places to find them, and the auction catalogues are wonderful reference sources. Specialized stamp books will usually show a photo of each issue, its origin, date, a universal identification code / number, number issued, as well as other useful data, and relative rarity. They are a must have for any serious collector. I shall be adding to this list as time permits, so please Bookmark this web site for future reference. Here you will find just a few of the commemorative stamps I presently have in my personal collection -- E N J O Y ! |
